The life of faith is a Word driven life. The faith-filled Christian knows the promises of God and trusts Him to be faithful to His promises. 2 Peter 1:3-4 says, “According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises.” God makes incredible salvation promises to those who will trust Christ as Savior. God makes magnificent promises of eternal blessings for the saved. Christ gives His children magnficent promises to sustain them in this life. Consider a few of His promises given to help the redeemed in this life:
- To supply all your needs (Philippians 4:19)
- All things will work for your good (Romans 8:28)
- To hear your prayers (John 16:23)
- To answer our prayers (1 John 5:14)
- To give rest to your soul (Matthew 11:29)
- To be with you always (Matthew 28:20; Hebrews 13:5)
- To give abundant life (John 10:10)
- To give eternal comfort (John 14:26)
- To make you fruitful when you abide in Him (John 15:4-5)
- To give you full joy (John 15:11)
- To give you His power (Acts 1:8)
- Perpetual access to God (Hebrews 4:14-16)
- Freedom from sin (Romans 6:6-7, 18)
- Deliverance from condemnation (Romans 8:1)
- Peace beyond comprehension (Philippians 4:7)
- To establish you to the end (1 Corinthians 1:8)
- Comfort in times of trouble (2 Corinthians 1:4)
- To give you the victory (2 Corinthians 2:14)
- To give abundant grace (2 Corinthians 9:8)
- To give grace sufficient for every trial (2 Corinthians 12:9)
- To do far more than you can ask or think (Ephesians 3:20)
